Pachinko's

Stopped by yesterday, chatted briefly with the owner, Marissa. Saw Adam, and old acquientance. The place was hopping, pretty wild crowd, cool music.

Longhorn

So, I had dinner with Doug and Charles at Longhorn last night. For the first time in months, it was an unsatisfactory experience

The caesar salad had too much dressing, too many croutons, and they forgot to put the parmesan cheese on it. I barely ate any of it.

The steak was too cooked. The baked potatoe was undercooked. The bread was cold.

I guess they were super-busy. I made some observations to our server, but held back for the most part.

Oh well.

Vista

I saw the launch of Windows Vista (the new version) is delayed till Jan 2007, which means it will miss the holiday season. Let's see how it does, or whether it brings true improvements to the PC market. From the little I've seen, it builds on Apple's fabulous OSX interfance, and looks very much the same.

Wed Cinci

Just checked into my room a bit ago. The Millennium, as usual. North Tower, floor 29. Nice view. The flight was fine. Had a very loud gentleman sitting directly behind me. No snow here, it's all either cleaned up or melted away, surprising.

They were out of standard cars at the rental car place, got an SUV for the same price. It's a brand new black Jeep Grand Cherokee, very cool:

Talked to Bill, txt w Jen. Ordered some room service.

X-Men 3

Saw a trailer for X-Men 3, that's going to be a cool movie. I loved the first 2, the special effects, IMHO, are among the best in any movie ever. Spider-man pales in comparison. I was blown away when I saw X-Men 2, I thought "now we are talking real effects," and it was right after watching Spidey.

Hear from Bill yesterday, apparently Jeff's been causing trouble . I have to get more details.
