Thu

another day. today was super nice and sunny most of the day. I even had lunch , a soup of course. picked up some pizza on the way home. watched american idol, elliott didn't make it. it's done to kat and hicks, we'll see. kat is very pretty, but on the clip they showed her personality was terrible (maybe it's an L.A. thing )

got emails from a couple friends. debating what to do next, it's still relatively early.

listening to some music. read that shakira's "hips don't like" made it to #1. not surprised, it's pretty catchy, they constantly play it at all the clubs here in NY.

Barcelona wins Champions League final

Samuel Eto'o and Juliano Belletti scored in the final 15 minutes to lead Barcelona past Arsenal 2-1 Wednesday night in the final of the European Champions League. Barcelona played with a man-advantage after Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann was ejected in the 20th minute for taking down Eto'o just outside the penalty area.

Arsenal had gone a Champions League-record 10 consecutive games without allowing a goal. Eto'o, a Cameroon star who has won Africa's player of the year award for three straight years, ended the streak in the 76th minute, taking a through ball from Henrik Larsson and beating backup goalkeeper Manuel Almunia.

Belletti, a defender, got the go-ahead goal four minutes later, taking a pass from Larsson and sending a low cross in front that went into the net off Almunia.

Wed

I am back in NY, kind of stressful last couple of days, but fine. All sorts of flight cancellations and delays because of the weather (rain, fog, etc.) Things went fairly well. I didn't have time to stop by the office and say hi to people, I was too rushed. I will next time.

Got an email from Hans, they are moving into a new house because he felt "squeezed" into their current 2,500 sqft house

Had a bit of trouble backing up Memoirs of a Geisha, I had to use a PSL2 (protected sector list) file. Ultimately succeeded.

Mon night

So, I had to delay my flight a couple times because of work, and when I finally got to LGA they had cancelled the last plane out to Cinci. I made it back home, and I am on a 6:30 am - ouch - tomorrow. Will be in meetings most of the day.

MI:3

I watched MI:3 last night. I went to the Loews E-Walk threatre on 42nd street. The movie was OK, nice action flick. Tom Cruise looking a bit older, particularly in the closeup shots.

For me, though, Ethan Hunt, the fictional character he plays, is not quite as compelling as Jason Bourne, played by Matt Damon. Jason has more raw appeal. Very little is disclosed of Ethan's background. The villan is Philip Seymour Hoffman, who is very good, as expected. Michelle Monaghan plays Ethan's interest, Julia.
