Memorial Day Weekend 2012
Kind of a hectic week, not much time to post. Here is a good link for the techies: the Prince of Persia source code for the Apple II, on github. A classic videogame from the 80s, by Jordan Mechner. Spent plenty of time playing it 
. The source was basically found in a closet. The creator thought it was lost forever until he received a box from his father containing three 3.5" disks on which the original game was stored magnetically.

Dies Eugene Polley, inventor of the remote
The inventor of the TV remote, Eugene Polley, dies at age 96 from natural causes. His Zenith "Flash-Matic" wireless remote control was introduced in 1955!
