Wed

Second day walking to work and back. It's fine, good exercise. If it weren't for the coughing...

Got an email from a good friend, Karsten . Their second son, Dennis, was born earlier this month.

Just a few more days and I'll be on vacation. Now I have to find a way to make it to the airport, given the strike. I usually take a cab, but both cabs are car services are pretty hard to get these days.

Not very many people made it work this week so far. Between the holidays, and the strike, it's dead.

Tue night

That was interesting today. Walked to work, took about 30 min or so walking fast. It was very cold, though. Walked back too. Let's see how long the strike lasts. Seems like the union is really pushing it, I hope they get huge fines.

Tue

Long day on Monday, and probably even longer Tue.

Looks like there will be an MTA strike tomorrow. I have to get some work done before an 8 am -1 pm meeting, so I'll probably get up around 6 am and walk to work.

I'd better go to bed soon.

Ronaldinho crowned once more

"Ronaldinho was named FIFA's world player of the year for the second successive season as Frank Lampard had to settle for second place. Barcelona's brilliant Brazilian, who was also named European footballer of the year last month, becomes only the third player to win the world award twice. Ronaldinho's team-mate Samuel Eto'o finished third."

Ronaldinho, 25, joins the ranks of Real Madrid players Zinedine Zidane (1998 and 2003) and Ronaldo (1996, 1997 and 2002) as those who have won the FIFA award more than once.

The top 10 were:

1. Ronaldinho (Barcelona)
2. Lampard (Chelsea)
3. Eto'o (Barcelona)
4. Henry (Arsenal)
5. Adriano (Inter)
6. Shevchenko (AC Milan)
7. Gerrard (Liverpool)
8. Kaka (AC Milan)
9. Maldini (AC Milan)
10. Drogba (Chelsea)

Company Party

So, I've posted a few company party pictures. There was a photographer on site taking them. This is a semi-random selection. People overall had fun, I think. It was nice.
