Wow, my Amex is pretty awesome, I filed a claim yesterday because a hard drive I bought 1 year and 1 month ago had died. I used the "extended warranty protection" benefit, which extends the manufacturer's warranty by a period equal to what the item originally had. I had never used it before. In 24 hours my claim was approved, and $190 have been deposited into my account, amazing!
