The work week is over, cool. Got chilly again, like 50 or less, crazy weather. And rain, which I don't dislike. Jeff and Robin are in town, let's see if we can do dinner tomorrow, it will be fun. May be going to Boston next weekend to hang out with Bobby and Judit. I may stay in tonight, not in the mood to go out.
So sad, the Real World Denver season is over, how sad. Guess who favorite cast member was, hehe.
I've noticed the latest batch of "I am a PC. I am a Mac" ads are much weaker than the original ones. Guess they are running out of good ideas. My favorite is an early one where the PC was in several boxes and the Mac was able to jump out and start "working."
Rain all after. Overcast now. Supposed to rain again tomorrow. Txting w/ Judit about the next party, probably in early June. Bobby is headed back to Boston today. I think Jeff is supposed to be in town, but I haven't heard from him just yet.
Debating whether I want to go out for a bit or stay in. Oh, also the results from AI today. Blake and Jordin made it to the finals. It kind of makes sense. I think Melinda was a better singer, but she did not appeal as much to the target audience.
Poker tournament at my new place at work today, a lot of fun. Free pizza and booze, hehe. Lots of people participating. Got home a few min ago. My niece is still not born, I suppose it will be next week. T-storms this evening, it may continue to rain tomorrow. Weather is mild, though.
Absorbing tons of information very rapidly at the new job, all very interesting, great business model. Got a great "first day at work" present from Gretchen 
. There is this wedding in Cinci at the end of June, Logan, an ex-colleague from work, great guy. Will try to make it, but I am not sure it's going to work out. I always think it's funny how on most of the commercial soda fountains it says "contains 0% juice" next to the lemonade. Just had some buffalo fingers, very good. Exchanged a few various emails. Some Country Music Awards thing playing in the background. American Idol almost down to the finals, it will likely be Melinda and somebody else. Supposed to catch up with Lindsay later this week. Jeff's supposed to be in town too for training, it would be fun if we got to hang out with Bobby, who will likely be in NJ but can easily drive into the city for an evening. Trying to talk to David, a friend from growing up, this weekend, because his wife is going to move to NYC for 6 months to attend some sort of coursework at Columbia. Need to catch up with Monika as well before she is on her way to Africa! She's taking an awesome 4 week trip. And Girlmore girls is over, so sad, watched the series finale today, it ended well. Rory is pretty . Do You Think You Can Dance starts again next week, cool. I keep getting all these fancy Tiffany's catalogs in the mail, who they think I am, haha. Saw an amazing old classic Rolls on the way from work today with NJ carplate FANCY - nice!
Wow, I just saw that Amazon has bought dpreview.com, good idea! I've been a fan of dpreview for many years (all the way back to 1999) - it is the most complete and authoritative source of information about digital cameras. It has great independent in-depth reviews and user forums. Makes sense for Amazon, content creates relevancy. I would venture say Amazon is already the website with most raw product content on the Internet. They have created this massive amount of meta-data about products, a lot of it user-generated, and so it makes sense to keep augmenting it with additional quality content such as dpreview. Very coherent move IMHO. Smart.
