I've write up a post about a collection of things I found useful over time for your cell phone in the car:

1) a proper cell phone holder, one that holds strong, is unobtrusive, does not require sticking it anywhere, does not depend on a suction cup, and does not have brackets which require complicated adjustments to hold the phone
2) a nice cigarrette lighter charger, very slim and a perfect fit inside the ashtray compartment
3) basic charging cables
4) a clear case that is lightweight and slim
