oscars night
watching the oscars pre-show at home. i have seen quite a few of the movies this time, let's see how it goes. i vote for black swan as the movie, and natalie portman as leading actress, plus christina bale as supporting actor.
video-talked to my parents on skype a few hours earlier.
cleaning up an older computer which we don't use anymore, we are going to give it to juan.

pheew, kind of a long week, a ton of cool stuff going on at work, the last few days have been a blur.
jumped into a zipcar this morning and drove nicole to NJ. it was a bit early, before 9 am, but well worth it because of the extra sleep vs. having to get over to her dad's and drive his car. we got there in a zip, no pun intended 
we have the car till midnight.

A new week, with 1 less day. Reading the news, I see Amazon is now offering Prime subscribers free streaming access to a library of 5,000 movies, cool. Nicole has a Prime account, so that means I can tap into Amazon's movie collection. Not that I need more movies, but hey, I will take it.
My friend Jordi confirmed he will be visiting in a few weeks, in April, cool. Will be fun.
Quite a mess in Lybia, let's see what ends up happening.
A little colder than usual for this time of the year, we are still in the 20s, ugh.

projector calibration
Been tinkering with the projector, calibrating color, etc. for best picture. I think it's pretty good now. Super bright. Check out the 2 shots below, taken with my S95 (no flash), playing Love and Other Drugs and Blue Valentine.
The first picture is taken from further back in the room, vs. the second is zoomed into the 120" screen.
