Sun TG

The weekend comes to an end. Very rainy both yesterday and today, and cold, almost frozen rain. Still very wet in the streets. We rearranged some of the furniture in the living room today, it's better now. Still don't know how I am going to get sound hooked up, and how I am going to run the cable box signal to the projector all the way across the room. The projector image is even bigger than in my previous place, about 140 inches due to the longer throw distance, looks awesome.

Talked to my parents, all good. Also talked to Bobby for a few minutes, he had left a message a couple of weeks ago. Waiting to talk to a couple contractors tomorrow about the kitchen stuff. Let's see where we net out.

Nicole's sprained ankle a little better, but still painful, difficulty walking. Let's see how she wakes up in the morning.

Sat

Mostly stayed home today, did some grocery shopping and also some cleaning up around the apartment. Watched the Barcelona vs. Sevilla game on GolTV, it was great. Planning on getting up somewhat early tomorrow, so probably won't stay up much longer. Fairly chilly out, under 40 most of the day. Got a facebook msg from Jeff. I am so behind in responding to friends, must call Karsten and Yvonne, hopefully tomorrow, as well as Bobby.

Fisher Paykel

We were supposed to have another guy come take a look at the kitchen to give us a quote this morning, but he got lost (he thought it was in Brooklyn and not Manhattan). I talked to him around 8:30 am and we arranged for him to come in tomorrow at the same time.

In the morning we went to Time Warner to change our cable service. Nicole canceled her account and then I moved mine. No easy process. The old tenants in my place had 3 boxes checked out, unpaid, and a balance. We had to make a copy of our deed and proprietary lease to show TW that owned the place, crazy. Finally they agreed to switch the service, but it took over an hour because they had to move it from one bulk rate building to another, and the software apparently doesn't make it easy (plus training probably isn't great for the CSRs). They also had to schedule for a technician to come switch phone service, which won't happen for another 2 weeks (in the meantime my phone at home will not work.) Quite an odyssey.

Had some soup for lunch, then headed back home, Boggie had to get groomed today. After that we went to Home Depot to pick up a few things, looked at refrigerators again. We like 2 French Door models, a Fisher Paykel and a Jenn-Air. We'll see, it may come down to which is in stock and can be delivered easier.

Then we took a trip to my place, unplugged a ton of electronics and packed it all up. On the way out Nicole ran to the curve to get a cab, but she tripped on a pothole and sprained her ankle . She is all bruised and swollen. Let's see if it goes down by tomorrow.

Thanks Giving 08

It's TG! We are off today, of course. Going to NJ, to Nicole's parent's house. Will be taking the bus at Port Authority in a bit.

This week has been so busy, hadn't had a chance to blog anything. Not to mention I don't have internet access on my new place yet. Have been mooching off a neighbor, but the connection isn't super reliable. We have to change the cable account tomorrow, hopefully. Will probably require install to run the cable along the living room to where we want it.

Kitchen stuff is in process, will be a while before we sort it all out. We did get an Ikea kitchen over the past weekend (which was super cold) and now we just need a fridge and to pick the floor.
