Tue

Evening time. Fixin something to eat, heating up some miso soup. Stayed at work for a while with George and David from our Boston office, great guys.

Talked to my super this morning, they are switching the building from A/C to heat, a sign that the winter weather is here, too bad.

Tomorrow is Halloween, uuuuhhh . We are supposed to go into work dressed up, then we have a party in the evening. We'll see, I may take the costume with me and put it on there, depending on the situation and circumstances.

Today I finished arranging my new office after the move from the 8th floor, it's super awesome. It has a couple windows that overlook Fifth Ave

Trying to schedule our next "dinner club" event with Hans and Lindsay, let's see. Getting ready for trip to Atlantic City with Hans this weekend as well. We are heading out Friday evening, taking a car rental rather than Greyhound, much better and more convenient.

Monday

Typical Monday at work, kind of rough. Chilly weather, now it definitely feels like winter. Headed out to grab something to eat with Hans after work, stopped by Playwright for good bar food and a beer. Engineering has mostly moved to the new floor at work, which is awesome. Gonna head to be shortly, I am a bit tired.

Baseball

The Red Sox swept Colorado on tonight at Coors Field with a 4-3 win in Game 4 of the World Series, replicating their sweep of St. Louis in 2004, when they ended an 86-year championship drought. Pep will be happy

Jets, NS/NC, 300

Went to the game at the Meadowlands today. Very windy and cold, I had to buy a Jets jacket, green obviously, pretty nice, I can see myself wearing it on other occassions. The game was kind of boring, as neither team played very well. The Bills made a run towards the end of the game and took it. We had reasonable seats with a great view of the stadium. We ate there, hot dogs and chicken fingers, typical game food. When the game was almost done, we headed out and took a bus back into the city. It was a little inconvenient because we had to stand, it was overcrowded. Actually, we ended up just sitting on the stairs. The trip took a little longer than usual through the Lincoln tunnel because of all the traffic. Once I got home, I watched 300, I had been meaning to for a while. It is OK, gory and with a sharpened picture quality. I would give it a 3 star on a 5 star rating, while I would give Gone Baby Gone a 4 star rating on my scale.

Last night I stayed up late, ended up a movie on my computer. My brother Bernat gave me this HD filled with Spanish movies for Xmas last year, which was an awesome present since they most are not available at the theatre or on DVD here in the US. I watched No Sabe, No Contesta, an Argentinian movie from 2002. I quite liked it, particularly the actress playing the main female character Laura (Karina Dali)

Sun football

Heading out to the Jets game. Running a few min late, took me longer than planned to take care of a couple things this morning.

I discovered that my Sony DVD-R burner can do double-layers at 8x. My brother game me DL disks that burn at this speed. Must the firmware upgrade. It has been creating some oasters, though, so I am starting to wonder whether I just replace the unit. Could also be the media. It has never produced a single coaster in single layer mode, DL is so finicky.

Anyway, gotta run.

PS: Mama, si truqueu sere al partit de futbol america amb el Pep. Comenca a les 4, pero hem d'agafar un autobus per anar a New Jersey. Si puc ja trucare des del telefon mobil, i si no ja trucare dema.
