The cold continues. So, I recently installed the latest Retrospect backup software on my PC, and after a few days it doesn't quite work anymore. I find all forms of Retrospect for the PCs unreliable. At least that has been my experience with 3 different versions over time. Their services tend to fail relatively easily, like almost every time you reboot. My current instance stopped the auto-backups 3 days ago for no good reason. I have restarted the app and the services, but no luck. I am too tired to look into will, will take a look this weekend.

New week under way. Kind of long days to get things moving. Just now getting dinner. Had lunch at the diner with Hans today, and the manager paid for the meal as a thank you for being regulars, cool . Watching an older episode of Melrose Place, I must have missed it a while back. Funny to see commercials for Lovely Bones coming out this weekend when I already watched it last week. The Verizon vs. AT&T commercials are brutal, they continue to escalate. Never seen 2 companies go at it like that exchanging so many blows.

Great Sunday, except for the cold. Freezing all day, with temperatures in the teens, booo.

Posted a few pictures from our company holiday pre-party at the hotel Gansevoort, in the meatpacking district.

Watched The Box this evening, a decent 720p copy. Not what I expected, I guess it was OK, although it didn't quite fully hold my attention.

I processed and posted the last batch of pictures from our honeymoon: we headed south past Naples to the Amalfi Coast, and visited Positano, Capri and Sorrento. Beautiful experience, the narrow roads, the cliffs, the beaches, the grottos, the food, the Faraglioni... Picture of Positano at night below.
