Saturday

It's the weekend! We got home soon last night, and took Bogie for a walk to Washing Square Park. The evening turned a little cooler than anticipated, but it was still nice compared to a month ago. Tons of people out, the park was super crowded, a sign that summer is coming.

Ordered dinner from grubhub.com, which is pretty nice. In fact the UI is way better than seamlessweb. A yummy Italian dinner showed up within minutes from a cool place in the Village.

Watched some American Idol, I think it will be between Haley and James in the end. She did an incredible rendition of House of the Rising Sun.

Then watch Battle: Los Angeles, which just OK. It was entertaining, but a little too long. Certainly better than Skyline. I imagine they set it up so they can do a series for TV with episodes, etc. It's will set for that.

It's 60 and sunny outside today!

wednesday

interesting, i just saw an add for google chrome. i guess google is trying some different things to increase market share for chrome, as well as some of their other apps. trying to promote the internet stack, and their apps - like gmail, youtube, etc.

tim o'reiily gave a talk at MIT about open courseware today, had some interesting points. he shared his slides, can't remember where, flipped through them earlier. he is a pretty clever guy, good at understanding patterns and how they may play out in the future.

watching the lakers game, good stuff. can't believe they lost on monday, i thought for sure they had the game won. nowitzki is pretty incredible. gasol not bad himself either . hope the lakers tie the series at 1 before it heads to dallas.

champions league game

ha, ha, excellent article about last week's and tomorrow's game, on ESPN.

"In looking back at the past match, when both teams were at each other's throat after yet another tiring did-he-get-hurt-or-didn't-he incident, the camera closed in on Mourinho. While the players were close to fisticuffs, the atmosphere tinged with the ominous threat that things were about to get seriously out of control, the Special One slyly grinned as he surveyed the chaos. This is what he wanted -- to provoke his opponents into losing their cool and embrace the dark side. It was like watching Darth Vader trying to turn, and ultimately destroy, Luke Skywalker by baiting him, egging him on."
