Weekend of 3/4 is ending

Sunday evening, the weekend is almost over. Feels extra short because we had to work yesterday, had a Super Saturday recruitment event. Went well, but we didn't wrap up till late, so got home around 11.

The cold I got about a week ago turned into coughing these past few days. I had to talk a good deal yesterday, so that didn't help. We were planning on going to Longhorn today, my favorite steakhouse, with Nicole's dad and Margaret, but I wasn't feeling up to it

Stayed home and rested all day. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow.

We just watched a movie, Young Adult, kind of funny.

Windows 8 is out

In other important tech news, Microsoft unveiled Windows 8 for public testing on Wednesday.

The new operating system works on tablets, PCs and laptops, connecting them via the cloud to give users a more consistent experience as they switch between devices.

"It's beautiful, modern, fast and fluid -- it's a generational change in the Windows operating system," Microsoft Windows President Steven Sinofsky said as he launched the consumer preview of the new operating system at Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona, Spain.

The Raspberry Pi is out

This little wonder I have mentioned before became available today. Huge demand crashed the distributor's site, a good sign. Very cool device, there is tons of cool things you can do with it. It is going to be a hit with geeks.
