spotify
sounds like spotify is finally coming to the US. about time, it's taken sooo long to negotiate deals with the greedy recoding companies. but it will be good. i might even become a paying subscriber if the service is as good as i remember it from 2-3 years ago in europe 
weekend
the weekend is here. nice and cool outside @72F, just waking up. my network range extender has been giving me so much trouble. there is a whole prosumer that i feel the networking companies are missing the boat on. it's surprising how hard it is to get high quality long range simul-broadcast access points with the ability to be linked up together. I would use 2 or 3 in my apartment. instead i am stuck with circa 2008 extenders that are no good. lame.

wed evening
home from the office. traded emails with my friend jordi who is in valencia. he has also been watching game of thrones, and has the books, etc. sort of a geek like me
saw FB started blocking the google+ batch friend imports this week, so predictable. though they released their own skype-based chat, that's a cool move, i used skype quite a bit. i can imagine the build vs. buy discussion they must have had on the product side. feels like a smart move the buy in this case, and probably a good deal for FB given that microsoft owns a piece of them.
