we were off today. my company, next jump, called a "snow day" even though it's not really snowing, awesome

this morning we went to the container store, got a few things i needed, stopped by bottle rocket on the way back, cool store. then we walked to soho, walked around, went into despana, had lunch, bought a bunch of stuff, then went into a wine store they have opened next door, talked to the owner, bought some bottles of cava and some nice wine.

stopped by crate and barrel on the way back. i am supposed to meet up with david a bit later to hang out.

kind of a busy last couple of days, home now. sitting back, watching oprah with nicole for a bit. warm at home, it's 20 F out! just booked our trip to new orleans in the spring, we have a wedding to attend in mid april.

had a ton of home network difficulties last night. as it turns out, my linksys range extender was having trouble connecting to the main access point. that happens once in a while, the channel changes and it is not smart enough to adapt. had to hook it up the laptop, reset it, and reconfigure it. that took a bit. unfortunately no firmware upgrades for it, it' too old. then, in addition to that, my WD media player was not registering on the LAN and so it couldn't see my various network shares. had to tinker with it, too many computers were trying to be the browser master. in end i got it too work.
