Fri

The weekend is here! Great. Milt out. We are staying in tonight, busy weekend ahead.

The humpback whale that's been taking a tour of New York City's waters appears to have left the harbor...The 15- to 20-foot whale was last seen Thursday afternoon, heading southeast from the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, swimming toward open sea.

The giant mammal was first seen Wednesday, off the coast of Rockaway Beach in Queens. It headed for Brooklyn before taking a final swing through New York Harbor, off lower Manhattan.

Barca beats Bayern

"Barcelona took a giant step towards the semi-finals of the Champions League as they thrashed Bayern Munich 4-0 at the Nou Camp. Barca's rampant strikeforce did the damage in a completely one-sided first half.

The Catalans raced into a two-goal lead within 12 minutes as Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto'o struck early on.

And the locals' dominance brought two more goals before half-time, with Thierry Henry setting up Messi for his second seven minutes before the break and then slotting home a fourth himself just before the interval."

Cool. Sucky weather again, and again. It even snowed this morning, ridiculous. Got home late. Had a FB msg from Judit, we will have to go visit them at some point, it's been a while.I also have to call back Aaron, been meaning to for a week.

We have a busy weekend this week, both days with events.

Twits

I find myself sending twits relatively often for what I thought I would do. It's easy with the iPhone client I bought, and it has the bonus feature of letting you attach pics, which is cool. Send a couple this evening.

Time for bed soon. Watched American Idol tonight, I think Allison, Danny, Adam and Matt are the most talented by far. Some good singers this year, I think better than the recent past. I am way behind on watching any kind of other shows on TV, my DVR is all backed up. Not sure this weekend will be able, I think we have a busy schedule, maybe next weekend.

Still cold and chilly all day today, winter coats and hats, booh. Heard from Jacqui, and ex-colleague who lives in Chicago. She is an Ars Technica writter, pretty cool .

Still have to find a permanent solution for the power supply of my K45 desktop box. Running on a different model PSU which does not quite fit the small form factor. I may try to adapt it when I have time.

Mon April

Longer than usual Monday, I sort of expect it would be because we headed out early Fri afternoon and we have a big week ahead. A lot of interesting projects launching this week.

Lunch with Tom, Greg, Hans at the diner. Lots of allergy commercials on TV. Luckily I haven't started feeling any symptoms myself yet, hope it lasts! The weather has been more fall/winter than spring so far. Rainy all day today, and also windy.

Checked out AnnualCreditReport.com and get my 3 reports from Equifax, TransUnion and Experian for free. It's good to do it once in a while. My files looked all good and clean.

Sun

Got back home this afternoon. Took a flight from BOS to JFK, a quick 1 hour (barely) trip on JetBlue. It was nice. Exhausted from the weekend, need to rest a bit, should not stay up late tonight.

The power supply on my K-45 Shuttle finally died. Been making noises for a while, so I expected it. That caused the inside to get really hot (since it has a fan ). So, for now, I plugged in an older PS from a SS51 box. It's too big and I have to have it ousite the cube. Guess will have to order a new one, I think they fairly cheap.
