Seems like we live in Alaska, this weather sucks. A high of 20 today and a low of 10 or less, with wind chills in the zero range (-17 C). I could feel the cold going through my pants, socks and shoes as soon as I set foot on the street this morning. I think it is supposed to rain and get better towards the weekend, but right now it bites. Just got home a few moments ago. I can't seem to shake this cold.
Nicole has prepared yummy pasta and potato wheels
for dinner.
Sunday evening, the weekend slipping away. Cold in NY both days, it was snowing this morning, overcast now, and it's supposed to snow again tomorrow and the high over the next couple of days will be 26, booo.
Big Time Warner outage over the weekend, all services were down. I detected it for the first time Saturday around noon. I called in and they told me their engineers were already working on it. It took more than 24 hours to solve it, must have been a big problem. Affected several neighborhoods in the city, in our area it was between 14th and 15th st east, between 5th ave and union square west.
Didn't get a chance to talk to Bill, he went to Fostoria I think. Talked to my parents a while ago, all good, starting to put things in motion for September ![]()
Nicole cooked a delish quiche this weekend, as well as lentil soup, yummy. Several Fresh Direct deliveries! The kitchen is almost fully functional now.
In other tech news, Street Fighter IV is out, it's come a long way since SF II which I used to play a lot on the arcades and then on the Super Nintendo which had an amazing version, pretty much an exact replica of the arcade.
Microsoft is reportedly working on Gazelle, a replacement for Internet Explorer focused on security. It will be a welcome change, let's see. Early stages of development, will be a while before we see anything I imagine.
