Continue to be extra cold out, we have been below 30 for several days in a row now, it was 22 F on the way to work this morning, brrrr. The news said we are expecting a low of 5 of Thu (-14.5 C), winter sucks.
Typical Monday at work, got home a bit ago. Talked to the contractor, he should be paiting the kitchen this week and then starting with the floor. With any luck we might get the floor done by Friday, let's see. Going to heat up some lasagna that Nicole got me for dinner, mmmh.
From the December planning trip to Atlantic City. We stayed at The Borgata Casino, very nice and impressive. Mostly work, but found a bit of time to sneak away and play some Black Jack, of course.

Windows 7 beta has now officially launched. I hear it's quite good, kind of funny now that Vista is finally stable. Also of interest at CES the new Palm Pre - talk about coming back from the dead -, NEC's magnetic flip flop (engineering geeks only), NVidia's 3D card (althougth it requires a new monitor, bah), and USB 3.0 - did you say 500 MB speeds, wow.
It's Tintin's 80 year anniversary. I used to read these comic books as a kid, liked them a lot. The style of the drawings are very unique, it's Herge's trademark "clear line" style.

DELL showed it briefly at CES, and later on a few pics leaked out. Somebody had told me a couple of months ago that this was coming up, I think it's a good idea for DELL to make a bit of a design statement, they have been so known only for producing efficient functional and affordable corporate and consumer machines.
Looks pretty slick, so far so good. Let's see if the specs match the MacBook Air, or even beat it, and what the price point will be:
