Monday

One more typical Monday, pretty long. Just got home a few min ago. Gotta pack up for the week, and eat something.

My iTunes library is all messed up because I changed drive names (songs used to be on D: and now are on N. Can't believe what a hassle it is to simply make iTunes see that. I had to end up editing 2 different files (using an direct to disk editor because they are too big) and searching and replacing. What a pain. I continue to say iTunes and the iPod are very poorly and rigidly implemented, it's just an annoying experience. By comparision, on my Blackberry sporting a 4 Gb SD card all I have to do is drag and drop the files, so much easier.

Bet

A pic of my niece that my brother sent tonight, cool . She is soo big already, amazing.

Sun

Major storm (the tail end of Hannah) came through the NY area yesterday, super rainy and windy all day. We went to dinner with Nicole's friends at CraftSteak in the Meatpacking neighborhood, next to Del Posto and across the street from Morimoto. Met up with Ingrid and Edward, and Anne and Vincent, and had a good time. We were back home soon, everybody was tired.

Talked to my parents this morning, and to Bill as well, who is considering a new car. He may delay it for a few months, we'll see .

Nicole will stop by in a bit and we'll start boxing up some stuff in my apartment. Still early on, but the interior designer lady would like us to minimize the clutter inside so she can stage it as best as possible.

NAS

My NAS, a lamo Netgear SC101 toaster, has this nasty habit of stealing IPs and blocking other devices from using them. Out of the blue it will wake up and decide to take another machine's IP. The firmware is just bad. The whole things was widely acknowledged as a fiasco after it came out, but hey, that's what you get sometimes for being the early adopter. Anywayz, despite everything it's a fine 2-disk RAID 1 MP3 repository.

Sat

And Roger Federer makes it through to the final of the US Open, disposing of Djokovic, which is great. Djokovic is quite unpopular after the comments he had made earlier this week. Nadal plays the second semi-final against Murray now. Not sure he will win, he has struggled to win every game, we'll see.

Super warm and muggy outside, ick. I had to turn on the A/C and keep it on to cool down my living room.
