Saw music Lyrics were added for hundreds of thousands of songs to Yahoo music yesterday, the first time they will appear legally on the Internet. They are being provided through a partnership with Gracenote, which is best known for its technology to detect and block copyrighted songs on websites.
After 2 years I ended up cancelling my Yahoo Music account, I found I rarely used it. Mp3's with no DRM still rule.
Listening to Brass in Pocket - The Pretenders, and other stuff. FreshDirect just delivered, need to stowe everything away. Heard from Suki a British friend, she is thinking of changing jobs.
May go out for a while in a bit. I was thinking of checking out The Pit again, on 14th st. I liked it when I met up with Nate and Hannah a couple of weeks ago. We'll see.
Can't believe it's raining again, I thought it was supposed to be nice all week! But the weather says now it is going to be raining till Sunday. Stopped by the Time Warner store on 23rd street today and picked up a cable modem and some VOIP phones. I am planning on dropping DSL (at least until Verizon gets their act together and upgrades to FIOS) and and going with Road Runner Premium (10 Mbps and a fixed IP)
And I am all unpacked. Just talked to Bill briefly, he has his final board certification test very soon.
Several packages have arrived, including my new Duvet covers and new bathroom rugs.
Backing up some NetFlix stuff. Been playing with Outlook 2007 some. It's fine, all very fancy. It may be a bit faster than Outlook XP, but it definitely feels slower than Outlook 2000 was. The look at feel is quite different, but that applies to all Office 2007 products.
Missed Pep at the airport by a few minutes this morning, he was landing when I was taking off.
In NYC. Need to unpack, take a shower and maybe a nap. Good trip, it's so quick, 8 h and I am back.
Jordi's wedding was great, we had a very good time. I will post some pics when I get the chance. Staying home, seeing my parents and Bernat and Alicia was great as well.
