Tue late night - amazing weather

We are enjoying unseasonably warm weather in NYC, and I guess throughout most of the East and MidWest. It was 73 F this afternoon, and it's still 66 F right now, nice and pleasant with a bit of a breeze. I guess this goes along with the reports that we are enjoying the second warmest winter on record. I, for one, love it

In tech news, the new iPad seems to be a hit already, and the initial batch is sold out. I find it all a little surprising given it's not that different from the first and second. Sure, it's nicer, but fundamentally does the same (reading books, movies, music, apps). I guess it means we still don't know how large the market for tablet devices is, and it's still growing fast. Will they replace personal computers one day?

Haha, also saw Siri is in trouble for misleading advertising. Agree on that, I can attest is not nearly as cool and smart as the Apple ads would have you believe, and that's an understatement!

Sunday March 11

Sunday coming to an end. Had to go into the office for a few hours today to do some work, met friends for early dinner at CraftBar, which was nice.

Talked to my parents, all good at home. My brother got an iPhone 4s, copycat .

Now at home doing laundry, bills, and such. The weekend will be over so soon.

Saturday March 10

We stayed at home this weekend, I am feeling better, almost recovered from the bad cold I had. Got up late, watched portions of the Betis vs. Real Madrid game on ESPN, and Madrid unfortunately won again.

Upgraded my surround Mod1 speakers to Mod2s, they produce even better sound now

Considering getting a very simple high quality Tivoli Model One tabletop radio.

One join to rule them all

Great article on databases, data privacy, and the ethical and legal implications. It's written in simple plain language than anybody can understand.
