Washington Square Park

All finished and nice on a sunny Sunday in June, lots of people everywhere.

twi

Changed my twitter updates widget to an HTML version, the Flash version was too slow to load most of the time. Bah. Simpler now.

I have some sort of issue on Chrome where the divs on the right column have too much padding. Man, this page's html needs work, it is like 6 years old when CSS was new. If I had time I should re-write from scratch. Right, like that's going to happen.

cab

There is a specific type of cab in the city, I think one of the mini vans, that has a door that is very hard to close. It turns out you have to push in and then slide to close it. Nobody every gets it, particularly if you are in a rush, and/or it's raining. I snapped a picture this week of one of them, the guy even wrote on the window "push in to slide", but nothing, people still almost never get it

Thu/Fri

Rain, rain and more rain. And cool weather. In the 50s and low 60s, still. The weekend is almost here. Madrid finally managed to buy Cristiano Ronaldo for a world-record transfer fee, $131 million, crazy. Let's see if it pays off for them long term.

Hopefully the 40 feet flat HDMI cable will arrive this weekend, and with that I can finish setting up the projector on the ceiling.

Nicole got me a hard hat for my razor scooter today, awesome . She got home after I did today, had a drink with friends (they had been trying to take her out for her bday for a while)

We are almost done gathering most of the paperwork required for the wedding. My parents will try and go to the consulate next week and get the key documents translated there.

I finally went ahead and paid for a 12 month subscription to Xbox Live Gold, it's like $50 for 12 months. Main reason is really nothing to do with the games, but rather with Netflix. With this, and for a tiny monthly fee, I can stream as many movies as I want off the Xbox, which is great. Will have to test it out one of these weekends.

Summer schedule starting to get busy: we are tied up Saturday, I think also invited to a bbq next Sat, and to an outing in mid July, plus there is a work thing another weekend later in July.

Got a new PC at work, it's nice! A dual quad-core with Vista 64 bit (Vista is still such an awful OS despite all the improvements, can't wait for Windows 7) and a 24" LCD + a 21" (which I setup vertically for now).
