MLK

Monday is Martin Luther King's day, and we are off work! No more rain today. Emailing back and forth with Judit about our spring trip, trying to iron out all the details. Quite a long flight to the French Polynesia , pic below.

Meeting up with Nicole in a bit for dinner. Hanging out w/ Hans tomorrow afternoon, we are going to try and re-assemble my new table with the leg they re-sent, let's see.

Fri

The week is almost over, one more day. It's been raining for the past couple of days. Chilly and all wet out. Fresh Direct delivery last night, they were quite late (like 30 min or more.) I guess because of the bad weather.

Dec 07 pics

A few pics from last month, including Jesus' visit, an NBA NJ Nets game with Pep, and images of the Christmas atmosphere in December around the city:

Taken from the phone, so quality is relatively low.

Half way

through the week, not bad. Still chilly out. Computer running rock solid without the faulty memory chip, had it in burn-in mode for a few days and no problems. The new memory is supposed to arrive next week. Got a msg from Carissa on MySpace (I had not logged into that for like 6 months, it's such an awful site!), she changed her cell and may be visiting some time in the near future. Talked to Nate for a while yesterday, he will most likely be in town for a weekend in 2 weeks, that will be cool. Also working out the details of a quick ski trip to NH with Bobby and Judit for President's Day.

This coming weekend is a 3 day weekend, nice! Pep was in the area today and we tried to meet up for dinner, but it the end it didn't work out, I got stuck at work till late. Some other time, maybe over the weekend.

Apple released their new thin laptop yesterday, looked pretty good. I think the whole idea of SSDs is great, I've been saying for a while that HD's are just way too slow, that's the one component you are always waiting on. Plus the whole mechanical aspect is so last century. Solid state is definitely the way of the future.

So behind on ripping, ehm, backing up movies. And organizing the million DVDs I brought with me from Spain. Oh well.

$90 vs. $10 wine

Interesting article about people finding more pleasure on the exact same bottle of wine if it costs $90 vs. $10.

Study: $90 wine tastes better than the same wine at $10
