Christmas Day
Merry Christmas to everybody!
Great Christmas day at home, with my parents, and Nicole's dad and Margaret. Nicole cooked a ton of food, a turkey, a ham and so many sides, plus tons of desserts, all delicious. We chatted, exchanged gifts, and relaxed well into the evening. Laia made a few appearances in between her naps, hope she sleeps well tonight

Post Christmas Eve dinner
Done with a big Christmas Eve dinner, with my parents, Nicole, Laia, and our neighbor Jose. After dinner we opened presents that the Tio brought us (Catalan tradition), I got the 2012 NYC Michelin restaurant guide, awesome , Nicole got a Breville BOV800XL super oven, my dad got cool socks and my mom got a nice umbrella.

The holidays
And finally, after a long week at work, the holidays are here. Was great waking up late and just being around the apartment today. We ended up watching 2 movies this evening: the original Miracle in 34th St, from 1947, a great Christmas classic for the whole family, and then later on, just with my dad, Taken 2, which was fine.
I've been experiment with using XBMC to do the video playback on the projector. Works remarkably well. I will continue to play with it, might eventually become a reasonable replacement for the trusty WD player I've been using over the last couple of years. XMBC's UI is stronger, more elegant, and more powerful.
