home monday night. quick summer storm unloaded a good deal of water earlier tonight. it's nice and cool now.
the bedroom project made a lot of progress today, the built-ins are up on the wall and look great, thanks to my parents 
got around to signing up for spotify, and played with it for a while, it's still almost as good as i remembered it (except for the ads now)
after debating for a few minutes during a visit to the Container Store decided to jump in and upgrade our kitchen trash can to a simplehuman model. very nice
Dinner w/ friends at Daniel Boulud's new restaurant last night, Boulud Sud, a Mediterranean cuisine place by Columbus Circle. Super nice and fun. Had drinks at the Empire Hotel rooftop ahead of time, very cool, and then during dinner Nicole even managed to get a picture taken with Daniel himself who was making the rounds and checking out things to make sure it was all perfect.
Pretty cool, a movie about El Bulli is coming out. This is the restaurant Nicole and I visited a year ago, the #1 restaurant in the world. It's located in Spain. This is it is closing down and turning into an institution to teach chefs. Amazing, our dinner had 37 courses.
here we go, end of the week, friday! looks sunny and clear outside. heading off to work now.
my ikea stuff arrived yesterday, and my dad is helping assemble it, cool
in tech news, saw amazon is trying to release a touchscreen tablet, not sure how well that's going to work.
