More details surfacing of the attack in January, pretty scary stuff, sounds like they hit Google's SSO, and from that gained access to a ton of stuff, which makes sense. Very clever.
Cyberattack on Google Said to Hit Password System
playing with something that looks better than the typical surveymonkey polls:
adobe's background downloader app is not very good. it defaults to this mode where it "download only when no other download tasks take place", which essentially means it doesn't do anything forever. under any kind of normal operation the computer's nic is constantly active, so the downloads never start. it does have a checkbox, if you turn it off it finally starts downloading, duh. not a very good design.
reading the paper. apparently apple is delaying global launch of the ipads. that made them go for quite a bit on ebay, geez.
ready for dinner. had to use virtualdubmod to attach two segments of a video file, works so well. incidentally, heard from a couple ex-colleagues and friends, Jim and Al today. sounds like saturday will be a busy day, we have to go to rita and denis' first son birthday in Connecticut, and then we are going to birthday party in the evening.
And the first ad driving people to the site we built for MasterCard is now on YouTube. And it's good, very funny:
