VMware ESXi on K45

(Warning: very geeky) This would be interesting. From reading some of the docs looks like I could run this on my K45. The E8400 is the "lowest end" CPU that supports 64-bit hosts. That means the E8400 running w/ 4 Gb of RAM and Tb drive could support about 10 VMs, which could run any OS I wanted each one. Would make for a pretty powerful virtual server at a ridiculously low cost (10 to 20 times less than an equivalent "traditional" DELL rack server).

Wow, it's warmer :-DDD, the temparature has "increased" from 12 to 24 F (-11 C to -4 C), actually feels nice out, hahaha.

Got up a bit earlier than usual today. Paper, tea, chocolate croissant, music

Here is a pic I took with my cell phone of Union Square on Thu morning, frozen and chilly.

sat night

Stopped by Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, staying in tonight, much too cold to go out. Going to bed soon, kinda tired and sleepy.

My home server has been down for a while now, tried to repair today but seems like the integrated Realtek NIC has failed, Windows Server 2003 cannot see it anymore, not even initialize it even after installing the drivers, strange. It has happened before and I had always been able to bring it back, but looks like it won't be the case this time. It showed up for a second, but then went away again. Might stop by Circuit City tomorrow and pick up a cheapo NIC and put it in, not worth the hassle of spending more time w it.

Barca won easily today, 5-0, watched the game on GolTV, the team has been playing very well.
