tried to watch 2012: Ice Age, very bad, don't waste your time. then i watched Area 51, not as bad, but definitely not great either.
alright, home from work a bit ago. long day at the office, as most mondays are. reading the news now, watching seinfeld.
so much noise in the news about groupon's IPO. i am sure it will do well, though it's not clear their business model is sustainable long term.
netflix has also been getting the wrong type of publicity, they deserve it, handled things very arrogantly.
playing with my cable-card powered tivo box. had an incident when TW's bill integrity guys a few weeks after the installation messed things up on m account, kind of ironic. now working again, though cable cards are definitely a risky business since the cable companies only support them because they are mandated to do so by the FCC, they don't like it that consumers no long pay their equipment rental fees.
incidentally, TW did get me to try their Wideband service, getting it installed in a couple weeks. should be a ton of bandwidth, most noticeable on uploads (up to 5 Mb I think). let's see how it works out. my concern is that with the increased upstream bandwidth they might block ports to prevent hosting, i guess I shall find out soon.
Stopped by Saks Sunday evening, got some clothes, a few sweaters, and a cool pair of new leather boots, below, from the To Boot New York brand. Click on the image to get yourself a pair online a Zappos.
