kind of a busy weekend! lots of activity. i was off Friday running a few important errands downtown
, visited the Federal Plaza building, then the Social Security administration, then the post office on Church Street.
more in the afternoon: we had lunch at Tocqueville, super nice, then headed to Met where we saw the Alexander McQueen exhibit, Savage Beauty, quite spectacular. it was extremely crowded, a 3 hour wait, but since we are MET members we got to cut in front of the line
after that we some aps and drinks in the members only louge.
saturday was our yearly company picnic, same location as every year: camp kiwi, upstate new york. the weather was hot, but luckily not as hot as expected, so the day ended up being nice. lots of games, swimming, and tons of great food. we didn't get home till late in the evening. we then watched No Strings Attached, a cute comedy, with my parents, and went to bed.
today we are headed to Gusto for late lunch. my parents leave tomorrow
, so it's our last lunch together.
just created my google+ nickname using http://gplus.to, cool. it is http://gplus.to/balcells
btw, today arrived my mini display port to HDMI cable, very small and lightweight. works awesome, now I can connect my macboook pro to my projector and watch iphoto slideshows or anything else i want, browse the web, etc. resolution is amazing, full 1080p and dual displays.

the bedroom is now is practically complete, and it looks great. the furniture is assembled and mounted on the wall, and the computer is setup. will have to spend some time re-running wiring, etc. but no big deal. everything looks so nice ![]()
