spent the day with my friend pep today. we went to soho, visited the apple store there, went to despana for lunch, and looked at various stores in the area. got home a bit ago. see pic of pep at despana in case you had not seen it on my twitter feed to the right 
Finally went out to lunch with Pep, we visited Best Buy then went to Whole Foods. Turns out my phone hasn't been receiving or sending text messages, in addition to the voice mail being broken since last week. I had to spend another hour on the phone with AT&T and then escalate to technical support. Apparently the app development provisioning certificates interfere with the new visual voice mail (which I was upgraded to last week.) I had to develop the certificates, reset the network settings and then it worked, but it took a long time going back and forth. I wonder what happens now if I install the provisioning certificate again. I guess we will see.
Been trying to find a place to buy these in the U.S., but no luck so far. Seem surprisingly difficult to find, even thought they clearly do exists.
Saffron Milk Cap Mushroom
Yesterday we celebrated St Patricks at work, with a company-wide flip the cup game - lots o beer flowing. Nicole and I headed home around 8 pm or so. The weather was has been perfect, in the 60s, so nice. We stayed in the rest of the evening and went to be pretty early to catch up on sleep.
Talked to Pep last night as well, we are supposed to meet up today. I thought he said he would be up early, but haven't heard from him yet. Maybe we can catch lunch in a bit, and check out the Best Buy on Union Square.
Tonight Nicole and I are going to have dinner at Picholine, a 2-star rated Michelin restaurant on 64th Street. After that we are headed to the Metropolitan Opera - at Lincoln Center - to see Hamlet.
weekend almost here. another surprisingly mild day. pep is in town but we were not able to connect today, he was jet lagged and got tired in the early evening. maybe over the weekend. st patrick's event tomorrow afternoon at work, and i am supposed to dress green .
rumor has it apple is going to get into social networking and location services, that should be interesting. good move. everybody is trying to do that, including google.
noticed a micro bug on my computer at work for a while. not sure if it happens everywhere. it's really picky. it's with dual monitors of different sizes. pick the tallest monitor, and drag a window down past the bottom of the other one. in vista 64 bit, the title of the window disappears, and it comes back as soon as you drag the window up again.
talking about bugs, i notice them all the time on google news. last night the left menu started including some of my recent searches as menu items, crazy. but they fix them pretty quickly without making noise or telling anybody
