We went and saw Avatar in 3D at the Union Square theater. It was a little predictable, but worth seeing. Effects great, you forget about them, it is so realistic that it becomes a regular movie whether with the humans or the Na'vi. The 3d effect was alright, still gave be a bit of a headache, doesn't seem like we have come much further from what I was already doing in a school lab with 3d virtualization and evans & sutherland over 10 years ago.
they played the trailer for a new clash of titans, that looked pretty good.

geez, checking my wireless bill i noticed $40 in roaming charges from late december when i was in spain. i just turned it on for like 2 minutes. thieves.
gloomy and dark, it's about to rain i think. doing a few things around the apartment. we are planning on seeing a movie this evening, either avatar at union square or up in the air at home.
Dinner
Great dinner in Sidercar's private room, after visiting Top of the Rock. The Steak au Poivre was very good. Got home a bit ago, headed to bed soon.

Saturdays are cool , got up pretty late, I was up watching the season premiere of 24, which takes place in NYC, Jack Bauer kicks butt .
OK, paying bills, reading the paper, doing some errands, catching up on everything that we cannot do during the week because we tend to get home pretty late. Just bought some tix for Top of Rock, Nicole has never been up so we are going to check it out this evening. Then we will likely stick around midtown and find a place for dinner.
I spent a few minutes this morning updating my music server catalog, it was a bit our of sync, it was missing the last couple of months worth of acquired music. If you know me, ask me for login and password, and you can search and browse my music collection online, over 76,000 songs.
