Oct 26

The weekend is pretty much over. Very busy, had to go into work both Saturday and Sunday as we gear and prepare all our plans for the Holiday 08 shopping season. Since our business is a shopping portal, this is the busiest time of the year. Pretty much everybody was in, and we got a ton done, felt pretty good.

Last night Nicole and I still had time to go in and see her friends Ingrid and Edward for a while. They were having a small gathering. It was rainy and ugly out, we got there separately, I got there around 10:00 or so.

This morning we went to work, and around lunch we left to go to church at St Xavier as usual, but Nicole had to skip her catechism class because we had to go back to the office.

Got to talk to Bill for a few minues yesterday and catch up after his training trip to Boston and Maine, sounded like a good time.

Talked to my parents as usual this evening.

Got to my place a few minutes ago. Should probably eat something. Will see what I have. Haven't been home much over the past 3 days.

Wed night

Got home around 10. Even chillier today, like 42 F heading home. Wouldn't be bad if it weren't because of the wind. Was wearning my cool Le Tigre anorak vest, but it was barely enough. I am ready to eat a Garden of Eden chorizo sandwich Nicole got me today, with some chips, olives and a Coke zero, excellent

Yet another 5%+ day drop for the stock market, when will it hit bottom, crazy.

Champions League games today. Barca won 5-0 against Basilea. Easy game, not a particularly strong rival.

Felicidades

Papa, muchas felicidades!!!!!

Tue

Getting chilly out there, got home a few min ago and it's like 45 F out on the street. I was wearing a thin track jacket, may have to take something thicker tomorrow. My building hasn't turned the heat on yet on the individual units, I imagine they will do so soon.

Another significant drop on Wall Street today. Ram called these fluctuations "dead cat bounce", which seems appropriate.

BTW, had a cool meeting at work today, had a chance to meet Josh Levine, a well known technologist. He was the ex-CTO and ex-CEO of eTrade, and recently CEO of ESP. Cool guy, he provided some great insight as how he helped build the eTrade platform.
