And Sunday. Several soccer games today, and then the Super Bowl. Ultimately went out last night. Lower East Village, first R bar - way too packed - and then Magician. Didn't get back until pretty late. It's like 19 F (-8 C) outside right now. Time to read the paper.

Black Onyx
Talked to Bill earlier, he was on his way home. Debating over whether I want to go out or not, it's going to get seriously cold tonight and I am lazy, we'll see. I am supposed to meet Holly and a few other people. Been wearing this black onyx ring a friend gave me a while ago, I like it. I've never been into stones or crystals myself. That said, according to most specialized literature, black onyx is believed to be one of the most powerful protection stones. Its way of protecting is to absorb and transform negative energy. Because of this quality. people find it helpful in relieving stress and for emotional stability. It's one of the first (root chakra) grounding stones; as such, it encourages connection to material goals and to determination in realizing them.
Comforter
Just bought a new white goose down comforter, Egyptian Cotton, 750 Fill Power, 1000 TC. One of my current comforters was in pretty bad shape, needed to be replaced. Looked pretty comfy
