80's + memory

Carefully perusing my new 80's collection "My 80's music." It finished downloading last night. Seems pretty well organized, about 1.5 Gb of select hits. I probably already had most of these songs, but it's nice to have them all in one place, well labeled and organized.

Useful eBook: How to Develop a Perfect Memory from Dominic O'Brien, the 8-times World Memory Champion (of course you'd heard of him, right .) Interesting reading if you are bored. He goes over a number of mnemonic techniques that can help you every day.

Sun

Stayed in last night, need a good night of sleep. Felt great this morning. Continuing to try this breakfast thing, cereals and milk, with some cheese on the side .

Burning tons of movies I had backed up to hard drive. If I fall any further behind I will never get done. Been working on it this weekend, down to about 8 movies. Will update the collection later today with all the new titles, mostly classics by Hitchcock and Kurosawa, including Saboteur, Sanjuro, Throne of Blood or Notorious.

Got some msgs from Suki and Judit.

Zamzar

Zamzar launched last week, seems to work well. It's a free online file conversion tool. You can upload a file and have it converted into a number of formats.

Common uses for Zamzar include converting PDF documents to Word, iTunes AAC files to MP3, and Flash (flv) files to MP4 for iPod use. Up to five files can be converted simultaneously. The process takes a few minutes - Zamzar emails a link to the converted file when it is done. The maximum file size is 100 MB, but there are no limits on the number of files converted Nice.

Evening

Evening time, talked to a couple friends on the phone. My subwoofer input 1 appears to be broken, can't get it to work. It's the one that uses the direct woofer link. Wondering if I should try to use input 2 which means sending the front speakers signal to it through regular audio cable. We'll see. I may give it a try.

British stunner Claire Forlani has joined the cast of CSI:NY, good. I've always liked her.

And Saturday. Woke up late. Was out late last night. Got a message from Judit with pics from their trip to London, here are a couple:

Saw another cool t-shirt last night: "I hate hipsters" - I may have to replicate some of these, come up with my own collection.
