I have been more of a collector than a player over the years, it was fun hunting down a set of Moxes. They are "lowly" Unlimited, not Beta or Alpha, so they don't carry us much "prestige" with the old MTG crowd, but still, ever since graduating from college I wished I had bought them. Many yearly latter, bucket list item completed! I think it's in the details - the case, the magnetic UV individual protectors, the light and the sign make it more fun to display.




PS: I have proxies on display and the real ones put away in a safe.

Wonderful ceremony at our school where Laia, along with a handful of other students, was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. Filled us with pride to see her up on stage, rewarded for her hard work not only academically but also her service, citizenship and character. Congrats Laia, and also to her best friend Alexa.

We spent the evening in the city this weekend, had a good time. The weather was mild, no jacket, the city was vibrant as ever.

I was able to make a quick side trip to NYC Comic Con this week and walk the floor of the 2025 convention.

Was a lot of fun seeing so many interesting things! It seems it's become about so much more than comics. I was a little suprised bt the amount of people in costumes, some of them great. One of my favorites was a guy dressed as Master Roshi from Dragon Ball - that would be an easy one for me to pull off as well, and he looked great.

And, we are in the Halloween Season already, goes so fast. Nicole did a fabulous job of decorating the house and the yard as usual, and I am responsible for our lighting. We have a series of landscaping lights on the front yard that I change to an orange glow, and then the pole on the front yard can also change color - the 3 bulbs.

All in all it's looking pretty good!
