Very nice Sunday, parents getting used to our new neighborhood and jetlag almost over. Just had late dinner, have to take care of a few bills and then time for bed. Nadal lost at Roland Garros, I guess he eventually had to after winning it 4 years in a row.

Mounted my projector screen with my dad's help this evening, looks great.

Finally sort of nice out, although this week we still went to work with coats and it was cool enough in the evenings that Nicole wanted to turn on the heater, crazy. Have to head out to Home Depot to make a copy of the apartment keys for my parents, then head to the airport and pick them up.

No more Jay Leno I guess. I kinda liked him a little better than Letterman, but fine, I rarely watch it.

Got my HDMI matrix switch/splitter hooked up last night. Looks awesome and works well. That means I got the projector hooked up, looks very good even against the bare wall, but I think I should get my Greyhawk screen mounted, we'll see when I have time. Also, ran into a problem when the cablebox was seemingly only outputting PCM sound out via the HDMI connection, instead of Dolby Digital sound. Took me a while to figure this one out, turns out if you enable the HDMI audio out, so it passes it through to, say, the TV, it downsamples it to PCM (figuring the TV just has 2 speakers). I changed the settings and it works fine now.

Heard from Matt, and old business colleague, he is in Dallas now, at a startup, seems like he is doing well, I am glad.

OK, time to eat a yogurt and head out.

Yay, Friday . Had to run a few errands after work this evening, stopped by Bed Bath and Beyond to pick a closet mirror and other stuff. Parents arriving tomorrow afternoon, we have to clean up the place and take care of a few things in preparation.

Nate called yesterday, he will be in NYC within the next few weeks.

Got around to installing Spotify last night, super cool. It has spread throughout Western Europe like wildfire over the past few months.

My brother got me an invite a while back. The website didn't let me create an account because I was in the US. After some tinkering, I used a UK-based proxy to create it, and faked a London postal code when I registered. Worked like a charm. Now I installed the software in 3 different machines. Works awesome. The interface is very easy to use (iTunes-llike) and it starts streaming instantly. It's like having access to a library of perfectly categorized millions of songs. Almost makes owning your own music library redundant (except that you still need to in order to listen to it on portable devices, Spotify only works on your computer, and soon on the iPhone)

Yes! Barcelona beat Manchester U today in Rome to win the Chapions League title, the greatest prize in world club soccer. NYTimes article about the game below. Great Messi play, great Xavi and Iniesta. This title completes the season, with Barcelona having won all 3 tournaments they participated in
