Here we go, it's Halloween! Nicole put our name in the list for trick'r treat, and several kids from our building have stopped by already. It's relatively mild out, but it looks like it might rain, and it's windy. Slept in late, busy week at work, so trying to catch up on sleep. We went to a party last night at Vic 27, it was fun. We didn't stay late, we were home by midnight or so.

I have been tinkering with video editing software to get mkv files to play on my xbox 360, which doesn't support the mvk container natively. One easy way is just the re-digitize the file in another format, but that takes a lont time. Instead, I figured out you can extract the streams, and re-wrap them into an mp4 or avi file without have to recovert the video. It's much faster. Plus in the process you can also manipulate the AC3 track if necessary.

Tonight we are supposed to go to 2 different parties, one in Hell's Kitchen I think, with some friends, and another one in Le Cirque, a fancy place uptown.

geez, can't believe it's so late already. more rain today. just had dinner. hooked up my WET610n wireless bridge, and voila, my printer is now a wireless networked printer. config was easy and worked pretty well. now i'd like to install the new cisco N wireless access point to replace my crummy netgear one, but that will take more time, so will leave for the weekend. just traded emails with my mom.

Rainy and cool out. Late day at work today, starting to prepare for the holiday season.

My Cisco wireless N Ethernet dual band bridge arrived. This will let me hook up the color laser printer again to the home lan. Had Windows 7 on my laptop for a couple of weeks now. Seems very stable, but I am not really noticing that much of a performance improvement with it over Vista.

BTW, Real Madrid lost today 4-0 to a minor leagues team, haha

Another Monday goes by, kind of long, a little rough at work, but fine. Getting ready to read the paper and then have some later dinner. Maybe even watch a bit of TV, we'll see.

The Halloween costume arrived, it's quite intricate...
