Thu

And Thu is almost over, and tomorrow is Friday, another week flies by. Hot and humid, summer-like weather, although never too bad. I see the moon outside the apartment window, low and reddish. Just had late dinner, now reading the news for a while.

Added Brad Borman's wedding pics from a while back, they are old, from end of January. Really nice wedding, Brad and Alix, in Long Island, traditional Jewish ceremony.

Big storm this evening in NYC, massive winds and even some hail. Lots of lightning and thunder. The tree top of one of the trees outside of our building fell and is in the middle of the sidewalk, the storm was that powerful. Seems like it has mostly passed by now.

Tour de France

My homonym, Alberto Contador from Spain won the Tour of France today. Lance Armstrong was 3rd, not bad for a 37-year-old.

sat night, butter lane

We spent the day in Camp Kiwi, Mahopac, NY for our traditional yearly company picnic. It was a very nice day, perfect weather, fun and games and good food. We took a bus from the office in the morning, and caught a ride back with Hans in the evening.

As it turns out, Hans and Jodi had entered a contest at Butter Lane to design your own cupcake icing. Hans designed a dark chocolate and tangerine icing that became a crowd's favorite this week, and ended up winning the contest today. As a result they will have it available starting next week, we will have to go get some . It's on 7th Street East (123 E 7th). The flavor is called "The Jodi"

Thu

Made it to the top 5 today in our poker tournament, very entertaining. Reading the news now, Real World playing in the background, not really following but it looks a little better than last season, which was very blah. Heard from my mom, all the wedding preparations are moving along, awesome .

In sports, Contador seems well positioned to win the tour, and Eto is about to leave Barca.

Walked Bogie a bit ago and it's kinda chilly out, you need a jacket, in the 60s. Nice though, not a hot summer at all.
