Feliz 2006!

It was casino night last night. Went to the Casino de Barcelona with several friends. Unfortunately they all lost expect for Jose and myself . I made 5 Euros after going up and down for several hours. Black Jack, of course.

The Casino Barcelona is set in one of the finest spots in the city, the Port Olímpic in Barcelona, beneath the luxury of the Hotel Arts and the golden lights of the Fish, designed by architect Frank Owen Gehry.

My parents have DSL now, super fast . Going for lunch to my brother's today. We'll meet up there are 3 pm. Going out with Pep and Jordi later tonight. Saw Jordi for a drink last night.

All day shopping for presents with my parents. In Spain the big day is not as much Xmas as the Epiphany for presents. Xmas is for minor presents, but the big deal is the Epiphany, known as "Los Reyes Magos" in Spanish, or "Els Reis Mags" in Catalan.

The Christian feast of the Epiphany is referred to as ´Los Reyes Magos,´ in Spain, which literally translates as ´The Magician Kings´ ... referring to the three wise men from the East who paid homage to the infant Jesus.
