I've exchanged a couple emails with Charles this morning.
He is a good friend - and ex-colleague from work. Not to mention a very smart, and outstanding individual.
I occasionally think about what it would be like to work in a company with "best picks" of everybody I've ever met, such as Charles, Doug, Aaron, Hans and Nate, to mention a few. Pretty much any task would be within our reach in the software world, we could even re-write basic things like an OS, or GUIs to lots of stuff. No lack of talent and good ideas.
Sat night II
I couldn't sleep, so I got up and just had something to eat, watched some TV. I'm going to bed again. I will probably sleep in tomorrow, stay home and read the paper.
Marlena, a friend, called earlier. She wanted to tell me she's made the cut to be a part of a very good dance company, and is going to sign a contract with them. She spent all day going through the audition process, but it paid off. She sounded very excited, good for her. They have sponsors, and they are going to be traveling and performing all over the country.
