Tech

MS launched Virtual Earth today, very cool. Part of the live.com platform. The 3-D view looks impressive, much improved over Google Earth's. Both mapping and 3D is done via the browser.

Also, Jellyfish has been hosting these crazy reverse auctions where they keep dropping the price on an item until it sells out. Some people got iPods for free and other items at crazy prices last week. Much tougher now that the word has spread. They do 1 auction every day. Chat boards and real time communication, the reverse psychology people engage in is nuts

Looks like I am going to Trenton on Thu for a Captain Morgan event. A few people from work will be there as well.

Had dinner, watched Prison Break. I might go out for a bit.

Ties

Got a few ties on my way home today, increasing my collection to, some would say impressive, 35 . I acquired a black one, I had no black ties surprisingly. Must have at least one. I also increased the spectrum of greens, which was lacking.

When I got home I had a package. I entered some online Nivea sweeps thing casually a few months back. It turns out I am the winner of a rare World Cup themed Nivea Cream commemorative tin. It's a shame the World Cup has been over for so many months - a great example of lame fulfillment. At least the tin is brand new and usable.
