Super nice out, I even stepped out without a jacked to walk Bogie for a few minutes, what a difference compared to yesterday! I noticed last night, when I stepped out and the temperature had warmed up.
A couple failed projects last night: first I tried to see if my computer case could fit a SATA raid controller I had sitting around, just out of curiosity, to test its performance vs. the internal built-in motherboard controller. Alas, I forgot the video card I have in there is a 2x wide card and uses up both PCI Xpress slots, so I cannot fit in anything else. it's fine, only took a few minutes to unhook everything up, pull out the box, open it up, pull out the card and then I saw it.
The second experiment was trying to resuscitate my old Logitech Harmony 890 remote. It didn't work either, I think it has a defective firmware and couldn't get it to work. I mean, eventually I figured out how to get the remote to boot up in secure mode, and in that way I was able to re-program it, but it was cumbersome, plus all the keys are sort of work out and old now, it's 3 or 4 years old. can't believe how poor quality this device ended being, it never really did work for me, despite all the positive reviews it gets.
I have also been experiencing continued trouble with my hosting company, as you probably noticed if you visit the site frequently. The blog portion in particular keeps going up and down because they cannot figure out how to stop the server from running our of resources. I have just filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, that should help drive some urgency.
