Timberlake

This is slightly embarrassing, but I guess I have Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back" stuck in my head. Oh well. I shall blame it all on the evil big media influence, they are alienating my brain

If you want to join in, here is the song:

Sexy Back

VirtualDub

I've been using VirtualDub for so long that I guess I take it for granted. Today was the last time, I was having a problem with an AVI file so I just imported into VirtualDub and re-saved it as a DivX compressed AVI. It was 700 Mb file that MediaPlayer could not open (missing index, corrupted key frames, etc.) After running it through VirtualDub in a few minutes it became a 320 Mb that opened right away, perfect.

VirtualDub is a video capture / processing utility for Windows platforms, licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). It doesn' have a fancy interface, but it is streamlined for fast linear operations over video. It has batch-processing capabilities for processing large numbers of files and can be extended with third-party video filters.

Wed eve

OK, Wed is done, 2 more days and the weekend is here, and a long one too, very good. Still dark and sort of rainy all day. They had a bbq ribs special at Ruthy's today, so I even had lunch . Got emails from my brother and my parents, everybody's doing very well.

I guess I am almost hungry again. I may have gained a bit of weight these past few weeks, may have to exercise a bit. I talked to the furniture people earlier and the top of my armoire is still on order, they said within a week or two, let's see.

Haven't heard much from Bill these past few days, he can't be up to anything good .

Wed morning

One more day, here we go. Got a message from my brother this morning, he and Alicia are doing very well. Kinda warm in my place, I think it's cooler outside. I have Photoshop batch processing images and generating thumbnails and stuff. As I've mentioned before, the newer versions are slower at it than older ones, not a surprise. Also, from version 5, whenever it finds an issue with an image, it stops and tells you about it (image may be truncated or incomplete, do you want to continue?) - of course I want to continue! And I haven't found a way to skip that dialog. If you are processing 500 images, and number 50 has an issue, it gets stuck until you say "OK, continue" - very silly. Oh well.

Tue Night II

Still goofing around, listening to music. Should make up my mind soon, it's getting late. I think it's still kinda raining. Mmmh decisions
