Kim mentioned Judit has a new look, but instead of send a regular pic, she sent me this crazy one in a red wig, haha, maybe her Halloween costume. Just finished taking care of a few things around the apartment. Pretty warm, I had to open my bedroom window to get some air. Ready to eat something.
Factoids as I am reading the news today:
1. The Dannish pop group Acqua, which launched the famous "Barbie Girl" song in 1997, has reunited and will be releasing a new album.
2. Mac OS X Leopard was released to the general public yesterday. Whoopie.
I recently discovered Kikkoman's miso soup. I was in a small convenience store near Third Avenue picking up a few things, when it caught my eye. Now, let me start by saying that I am a fan of soup in general, and miso soup in particular. I have found in the past that most canned or dehydrated soups don't taste very well. They are eatable, but that's it. And that is the reason I always go for the soup places where they make it every day.
So I was very skeptical when I decided to give Kikkoman's miso a try. As it turns out, I was pleasantly suprised. The soup is quite good, almost like the real thing. The pieces of tofu are a little small, but that is the only downside I found. The flavor is rich and tasty.
It comes in an envelope with 3 individual packets. It is very easy to make: mix it in hot water, to taste. It is healthy and low fat. Definitely an acquired taste, but once you get it, you always crave some more.
And the weekend is here, which is great. Continue to be rainy. It's been like this since Wed afternoon I guess. I kind of like it, as I may have pointed out before. Despite the rain, the weather is still relatively mild for this time of the year. I wanted to meet up with Pep yesterday evening, but I ended up staying at work for a while making sure I was moved into our new space (we have expanded into a new floor) and get my computer hooked up and running.
Here's my updated facebook profile, nothing in there that I wouldn't have exposed through here anyway, but the site does look very clean. Uses tons of Ajax and is well-structured.
It was my friend Autumn's bday yesterday, she lives in the West Coast. She is cool. Way behind on the TV viewing this week, watched Prison break yesterday. Tried to watch the first episodes of the season of CSI:NY, but I was too sleepy. What happens is that when you lay down in the couch, after a long tiring week, it is very hard to resist falling asleep. So I only got half way through. Have tons on my DVR, it is permanently at 80-100% full, I may have to delete some stuff, I will likely never catch up.
