google shake up
wow, major tech news, Larry Page is taking over as CEO from Eric Schmidt, interesting. mr schmidt says "day to day adult supervision is no longer needed". he was brought in to run the company when the co-founders were in their 20s, and it's "now time for the training wheels to come off". there have been tensions within the managing trio over the past 3 years, so i am sure some of that factored into the decision somewhat, although obviously when it really mattered the 3 of them worked very well together.
