MI:3

I watched MI:3 last night. I went to the Loews E-Walk threatre on 42nd street. The movie was OK, nice action flick. Tom Cruise looking a bit older, particularly in the closeup shots.

For me, though, Ethan Hunt, the fictional character he plays, is not quite as compelling as Jason Bourne, played by Matt Damon. Jason has more raw appeal. Very little is disclosed of Ethan's background. The villan is Philip Seymour Hoffman, who is very good, as expected. Michelle Monaghan plays Ethan's interest, Julia.

More sports

Good day in sports for the Spaniars. Spanish rookie Dani Pedrosa continued his breathtaking assault on MotoGP by not only grabbing his first pole position in the class after a rain-disrupted qualifying for the China Grand Prix on Saturday, but also winning the race today (!)

The 20-year-old Honda rider recorded the quickest lap in the short history of the Shanghai circuit, shooting around the 5.3-kilometer track in a time of 1:59.009 on his final run after a splash of rain cut 15 minutes from the one-hour session.

Then, Rafael Nadal outlasted Roger Federer in the final of the Rome Masters Series, and tied Guillermo Vilas' all-time record of 53 consecutive wins on clay. In winning the title, Nadal beat Federer for the fifth time in six meetings.

Sun

Talked to my parents a while ago. Been txting with Jen.

I was Photoshopping some stuff earlier. I've noticed prior versions, like version 5.5 or 6, are way faster than the latest CS or CS2 doing action-based batched processes, which is a shame. If I have to process lots of pics, for example to generate thumbnails for a photo gallery, I always go back to version 6. It's at least twice as fast as CS (yes, I have tested it, and timed it)

F1

Spaniard Fernando Alonso had little trouble winning the Grand Prix of Spain in Montmelo (Barcelona) today Sunday. Alonso steadily pulled away from Schumacher to extend his Formula One points lead.
