Monday

And a new week starts, rainy but not as cool as last. Just got home a bit ago. Had lunch at a new place today, on 27th and Fifth, little diner, pretty pleasant.

Been using a bluetooth mouse and keyboard for a while now. I guess the mouse works and behaves as intended, very reliable. The keyboard is another thing. Once in a while (about once every 2-3 days) a letter gets stuck for a few seconds filling up whatever editor you may be using. Kind of inconvenient. I mean, tolerable, but it could be better.

Exchanged emails with Todd and Chip. Also heard from Nate, sounds like he might be in town with Monika early in December, that would be very cool. I can overhear the news, it's supposed to continue and rain overnight.

Dinner, tech stuff

Sort of late night dinner . Fixin up something. Txt's from Bill, he must be up too. So, I installed the Opera 4 Mini browser on my Curve. Works quite well, considerably better than the default BlackBerry web browser. Has this neat virtual mouse that lets you preview the pages and zoom into the areas you want. Makes it very usable, as compared to before.

A few Vista annoyances as I get to use it more and more across all my machines. When you roll over files on Explorer it highlights the entire row by default, which makes it a pain to select blocks of files, bad UI. Another one, if you do not have the toolbar to be on top of everything, when little pop warnings come up they are underneath and you cannot see them. Another one, search does not default to include hidden files and folders. Another one, finding your cookies is a pain.

Turns out Carissa is going to be in NYC for TG with some friends, road trip. I will be out on Thu itself, but should be around the rest of the time. My friend Jesus will be visiting, so we can all hang out.
