Java + MS
I am not sure Microsoft's marketing department quite knows what they are doing judging from the latest Java Update package for Windows. I noticed the little tray icon saying there was a new update available this morning, when i clicked OK, it started installed. Along the way it prompted me for various crapware things to install with it, annoying practice by lots of installers these days, and of course I unchecked everything. One of them was the bing toolbar, fine. But then the very next one was an ad prompting me to get Open Office, in direct competition with MS Office. Why would you advertise with Sun, who is always going to push their product right next to your stuff, bad choice. Find some other software to put your ads right next to, and not a direct competitor.
