worked out today, will totally be sore tomorrow 
. so, my cool new WD Live arrived, so fast. it's tiny, really tiny, about half the size i had pictured it would be. hooked it up via hdmi, networked it, turned it out, and voila, streaming all kinds of files off my server in minutes. works awesome, and it does an amazing job at playing mkv files too. looks like it was a smart choice for a media player!
watching, or fast forwarding through melrose. gotta go to be soon, it's getting late.
