ATT wireless data roaming
I saw that ATT is going to partner with Starbucks to replace TMobile at their coffee shops, interesting. They offer a better overall deal, so it's good for us, the consumers. I wonder how come TMobile didn't put up more of a fight.
Anyway, while on the topic, I will say that international data roaming is ridiculously expensive, a total rip off. I got the bill from ATT for my blackberry while in Spain over Christmas and it is over $300 in data roaming, just for using GMail and Google Maps a couple times for a few moments. They charge some huge amount per Kb. Voice roaming, in comparison, is pretty reasonable. Don't know how they are able to get away with it. Related, the European Union has asked this week to all carriers that they lower their international SMS fees, which are also way too high, another rip off.
